As I worked on the canvas, a face gradually emerged, revealing the essence of the piece. The feminine presence is both part of the landscape and a separate entity. The wink is a moment of connection with the viewer. The color palette of greens, blues and earth tones, carefully layered to create subtle relationships, suggests the feminine aspects woven throughout nature and our experience of the world around us.
